The secrets for making Pagès Verveine du Velay will be revealed to you during a guided tour. Long and numerous are the steps to producing the Green and the Yellow Verveine du Velay liqueurs, and Verveine du Velay Extra...here is where you can learn everything about the liqueur-maker's profession: you follow the same itinerary as that of the plants: their slow transformation into liqueur by maceration, distillation (in the room where seven copper stills have pride of place), aging in oak casks...you will therefore discover a mysterious atmosphere where the scents of plants mingle with those of alcohol vapours, in the most surprising of alchemies.

On leaving the guided tour, you come into the museographic area: there you will discover old objects that have belonged to the Distillery's private collection since its beginnings, and the place that Verveine du Velay holds in the worlds of local and international fine foods, wines and spirits. Verveine du Velay will no longer have any secrets for you.
On our interactive station, you can cause those to speak who are the very memory of Verveine du Velay. Those who contributed and who contribute still to the renown of Verveine du Velay will share their stories, their emotions with you…

After all these discoveries, it is time for the practical encounter: tasting Verveine du Velay will permit you to appreciate it properly. Children are offered a tasting of Pagès syrup. |
